NY Giants Fans!

Ok, so I am definitely not a New York Giants fan but Alex has been as long as I have known him. So, tonight was a glorious night for him. Brooks got to witness his first SuperBowl (well only half since he went to bed at half-time) and see Daddy's favorite team play in the best SuperBowl of all time (as Alex has stated many times tonight)!

Don't my boys look absolutely adorable?!?

Four Months!

I can't believe Brooks is four months old tomorrow! He has been busy on his tummy lately trying to build up his crawling muscles! He finally rolled from his belly to his back last weekend and he is working hard on rolling from his back to his belly. He almost has it down. He gets his feet under him, pushes up so his back is arched and he is on his side but doesn't quite make it over.

We had our first FULL week the week before last of him sleeping 11-12 hours. The doc said it probably wouldn't happen until he reached at least 12 lbs. I didn't know it had to do with weight. I always thought it was age and was getting frustrated when he would wake up at 3 AM to eat. So, he is now sleeping through the night most nights. However, we have digressed a bit this past week but I think it is from teething. Brooks is NEVER fussy and he has been a fuss pot the last 3-4 days. His hands and everything else are constantly in his mouth and he will scream / cry out of nowhere sometimes. It is so unlike him. We go in for his four month checkup on Friday and will see what he weighs and how his little teeth are doing. I have lots of questions for Dr. Pam!

Our little boy is growing up!

Brooks' Three Month Photos

Brooks had his 3 month photos taken last week. We had the same photographer do these that did his newborn pictures and he did a great job once again. Hal set him up in front of a mirror and Brooks hammed it up. He absolutely loves looking at himself in the mirror and it always cracks him up.

It was a fun photoshoot and wore the little bugger out! We are looking forward to heading back to the studio in 3 more months!

Cool Dude

Ok, everything always seems to be about Brooks these days; however, we have not forgotten about our other two children - Nash and Nellie. They still get LOTS of love and attention from us.

As many people know, we love to dress up Nash because he allows us to do anything we want to him. He is the sweetest pup in the world! Here is his latest outfit. What a cool dude!!!

3 Months Old Already

Brooks turned 3 months old today! We can't believe the time has flown by so quickly. He has been an amazingly easy baby thus far so it was a bit odd when he started to become fussy the last few days. The kid doesn't cry unless he is hungry and he doesn't fuss unless he is tired. I noticed that he has his hands in his mouth constantly, has been drooling a lot, fussing more than usual and he (and the rest of us) had a VERY rough night last night with NO sleep - TEETHING! I know three months sounds early but sure enough the doc felt a little bump in his lower right gum this morning. He is starting early; however, a tooth could take a while to pop through so how knows how long it will be. I can't even picture my little man with teeth.

New Years 2007

We spent New Years in Houston with Mike and Kelly Berube and their daughters, Alexa (3) and Peyton (1 1/2). Mike and Alex are fraternity brothers and best friends. They don't get to see one another much so we made a 5-day trip to visit. We had a wonderful time hanging out and spending time with the Berubes and their girls. We didn't do much but did get some nice R&R.

Brooks traveled well and found it easy being away from his normal surroundings. The girls were really great with him too. Unfortunately, Alex and I got sick toward the end of the trip so the kids AND adults went to bed early on New Years as we were all a bit under the weather. At least we made it to New York's New Years!!!

GO BUFFS!

Well, unfortunately the Buffs did not win their bowl game against Alabama but Brooks was ready to watch a little college football. He took a nice little pre-game nap to prepare and then it was all about cheering them on after that. Maybe it will turn out better for the Buffaloes next year!

Kaiser Holiday Fun

We decided to spend Hanukkah at the McGee household and Christmas with the Kaisers. This would be Brooks' first year to celebrate and of course he made out great with presents!!! Unfortunately, he slept through the Hanukkah gift giving because it was at night so Alex and I opened all his gifts. He brought home some great books, stuffed animals, a Chanukah bib and stuffed dreidle that plays music and some other toys.

He also experienced his first Christmas with his grandparents, Uncle Bret and cousin Madison. Aunt Wilma made him his first winter hat and cousin Madison gave him a talking snowman and his first guitar! He is starting to become a musical stud early so he can get the chicks later on :o)

New Friends

We finally got together with our friends, Emilie and Florian Delaplace, and their son Mael. Mael is almost 6 months old and we hope he and Brooks become life long pals! Brooks and Mael hit it off immediately. They just stared at each other and Mael tugged on Brooksie's shirt a few times. It was pretty darn cute. Maybe later down the road, Mael can teach Brooks how to speak French so he can pick up on the ladies!!!

We all hung out at our house for a little while before our visit with Santa and then out for some delicious Thai food and yogurt. It was a fun night!

Picture with Santa

We took Brooks to visit Santa on a VERY cold and windy night this past weekend. There is a nice man in Coppell who decorates the front of his house with lights and a sleigh, dresses up as Santa and lets families bring their kids over to take pictures with him. Brooks has no idea what is going on of course but he sure looks cute!
