Visit From Cousin Amanda

My cousin, Amanda, flew in from Florida to visit the family and meet Brooksie for the first time.

Just Me and Poppy

It is always fun to see Brooks hanging out with Poppy. It is rare that they get to play just the two of them because Nana, mommy and Aunt Heather are always around!

Cute In My Hat

Brooks got a new handmade hat from Alex's Aunt Wilma over Christmas. It has been pretty cold in Dallas lately so we decided to put it on him for our afternoon walk. Oh my gosh is he so darn adorable in it!!! We love the hat Wilm - THANKS!!!

I've Got Choppers!

He is an early bloomer like his mommy! Brooks got his bottom two choppers at 4 1/2 months just like his mommy! They popped through the gums this past week and we can't wait to see what he looks like when they are completely in. This picture in the bath is the only one we could get where you can see them somewhat :o)

I Love Cereal

Brooks is such a master of cereal consumption. He gets so excited and loves to eat like a big boy. We fed him over at my parents house and Nash decided he likes rice cereal too!

My First Taste of Cereal

Brooks got to try cereal for the first time and he actually liked it. He finished his entire bowl! It took him a few spoonfuls to get the hang of it but then it was smooth, yet messy, sailing from there.

I've Discovered Standing

I knew Brooks was going to be a busy kid just from the way he acted inside my belly. He rarely let me have a break! He enjoyed standing with our help at 2 weeks old and at 4 months old has discovered standing up on his own while holding on to the couch. He will even watch television while he stands up! Dr. Pam, his pediatrician, said that he is standing up very early and it may not be very good for his bones and joints so we are only supposed to allow him to stand on his own for brief periods. Sorry Brooks!

Isn't he just too adorable?!?

NY Giants Fans!

Ok, so I am definitely not a New York Giants fan but Alex has been as long as I have known him. So, tonight was a glorious night for him. Brooks got to witness his first SuperBowl (well only half since he went to bed at half-time) and see Daddy's favorite team play in the best SuperBowl of all time (as Alex has stated many times tonight)!

Don't my boys look absolutely adorable?!?

Four Months!

I can't believe Brooks is four months old tomorrow! He has been busy on his tummy lately trying to build up his crawling muscles! He finally rolled from his belly to his back last weekend and he is working hard on rolling from his back to his belly. He almost has it down. He gets his feet under him, pushes up so his back is arched and he is on his side but doesn't quite make it over.

We had our first FULL week the week before last of him sleeping 11-12 hours. The doc said it probably wouldn't happen until he reached at least 12 lbs. I didn't know it had to do with weight. I always thought it was age and was getting frustrated when he would wake up at 3 AM to eat. So, he is now sleeping through the night most nights. However, we have digressed a bit this past week but I think it is from teething. Brooks is NEVER fussy and he has been a fuss pot the last 3-4 days. His hands and everything else are constantly in his mouth and he will scream / cry out of nowhere sometimes. It is so unlike him. We go in for his four month checkup on Friday and will see what he weighs and how his little teeth are doing. I have lots of questions for Dr. Pam!

Our little boy is growing up!
