Swimming Like a Fish

As everyone knows, Brooks completed his ISR (Infant Swim Resource - Survival Swim) classes at the beginning of the summer and is now a little fish. We swim at my parents house every weekend and he cannot get enough of the pool. He loves to jump or belly flop off the side of the pool and swim to one of us but today he decided to swim the entire length of the pool all by himself. This was a huge accomplishment for him and he was so proud of himself. We also practiced his float today, flipping from a swim position to a float and back to a swim, so he decided to do it on his own a few times. My mom and I were so excited so we praised him a whole bunch and he kept doing it about 3-4 times. I guess his lessons really paid off! It is so great to know that my son, at 22 months, can swim by himself and save himself if God forbid he were to fall into the water.

Colt is 6 1/2 months and started lessons this past week. He doesn't like it yet but by the end of this summer he will float and next summer he will swim - YAHOO!
