Weekend in Austin

We just got back from a really fun weekend in Austin. One of Alex's fraternity brothers, Chris Woodard, got married and we were able to see lots of friends that we hadn't spent time with in a while. The rehearsal dinner Friday night was fantastic. The food was delicious and the scenery nice and relaxing. We went out afterwards, and yes, I was the only pregnant chick in a bar! Good thing there was no smoking :-)

I took about an hour walk (I needed exercise after the dinner I had the night before) along the river. It was so beautiful and there were hundreds of people out running, walking and playing with their dogs. We met up with our friends, the Brooks' and the Berube's after breakfast to walk through the art festival taking place on sixth street. We had a very good Mexican food lunch and the boys went back to a bar while the gals shopped for a while.

The wedding took place at The Four Seasons Saturday night. The weather was perfect, the ceremony beautiful and the reception was great fun. We always enjoy getting together with our friends, especially those we don't see very often. We sat outside most of the night talking and laughing - good times! Of course we were back in our hotel room by 11:30PM and ready to crash - gosh we are old!!!

It was back home on Sunday so we could see our little guy and the pups. What a fun weekend!
