1 Year Check Up

We took Brooks in for his one year check up on Monday and everything checked out great. He was running all over the doctor's office in his diaper and nothing else - just having a grand old time (until shots!). He measures in at 31 inches (75 - 90%) and weighs 19.9 lbs (10%). We were hoping he would hit the 20 lb mark so we could turn his car seat around but that will just have to wait...bummer!

We started him on some whole milk, mixing it with formula, and he seems to think it is OK. We incorporated some raspberries into his dinner last night and of course he loved those. He and I split a turkey sausage, cheese and egg white omelet this morning, his first taste of eggs, and that was a hit as well! No allergic reactions yet so we are doing good :-)

Once he is completely off formula (in the next week or so) we are going to work on transitioning to using only a sippy cup and no bottles AND moving his bedtime bottle to dinner with no bottle at bedtime (arrgghh!). He loves to drink water from his cup but he finds it too different right now to drink milk from a cup.

I still can't believe my baby boy is one...
